Ingredients
For Cookies:
- 1 cup softened butter
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
For Frosting:
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Preparation
- Mix butter, powdered sugar, egg, vanilla, and almond extract
- Add flour, baking soda, and cream of tartar
- Cover and chill 1-2 hours
- Heat oven to 375°F
- Divide dough in half and roll on floured surface to approximately 3/16” thick
- Cut into shapes
- Bake for 8 minutes
- Frost with butter cream frosting and decorate with sprinkles
