Pecan Bars

Preparation

  1. Grease a 9x13 pan with Crisco
  2. Preheat oven to 350°F
  3. In a bowl mix 3/4 cup softened butter, 1/2 cup packed brown sugar, and 1 1/2 cups flour
  4. Press into pan and bake 15 minutes
  5. Put maple syrup and 2/3 cup packed brown sugar in a small pan and cook for 5 minutes on medium heat
  6. In a medium sized bowl beat 2 eggs, 2 tablespoons flour, salt, and vanilla
  7. Slowly pour the hot syrup into the beaten egg mixture while continuing to beat the eggs
  8. Pour over the baked crust and top with pecans
  9. Bake at 350°F for 20-25 minutes
